Abigail’s Moroccan Cuisine: Reviews & Ratings
Abigail is an amazing hidden gem in Alameda. With a water view of San Francisco, Moroccan interior design and homemade food i can't say enough good things about it. My favorite is the Moroccan salad with chicken. It is an incredible value for the price and includes salad, roasted eggplant, hummus, roasted red bell pepper, and crunchy chicken pieces and everything freshly prepared. I often bring friends and all of them were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, the hospitality and the view. This is what a small family run business can accomplish. We are so lucky to have you!
Very peaceful atmosphere with a nice balance of food and selection. The view alone would cost you a $50 meal but the meals prices averages around $15 for each person, can be cheaper depending on what you get. Not a lot of people Saturday afternoon, will be coming back.
I got kafta with moroccan rice. The kafta (beef meat balls) was flavorful, yet on a drier side. The dish was good overall. Also paired my dish with lovely hot mint tea. Cozy, traditional Moroccan interior design and wonderful location!
The flavors. It was my first time going to this restaurant. I wanted to try some Moroccan food and the flavors did not disappoint. The view from the restaurant is great. I can’t wait to go back with other friends. Definitely a mom and pop vibe. Staff was friendly and clarified any questions we had on menu.
I wasn’t too sure what to expect when I walked in. It was very quiet and didn’t get much of a greeting from the staff up front. But we tried the chicken plate, eggplant salad, hummus and lentil soup. Wow! The food tasted so authentic and absolutely delicious! The onion sauce went well with the grilled chicken and rice. The eggplant salad had beets, and a taste of other side dishes with it and cooked very well. The hummus was one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely a hidden gem in alameda!
A small restaurant but cute. Especially the waitress was so sweet! I think her name is Elizabell (something like that) . Great service! Also the bay scene was breaking taking, Worth to make a trip
$25 per person for a dish + lemonade per person, everything tasted great. Sweet and salty flavors. Salad was fresh, rice was sweet/salty, meat was savory, onion sauce was sweet. Id come back, albeit on the higher cost side.
My friend got me to this restaurant. Their food was very very tasty. We had ordered meal which comes with salad cookie and tea with the dish which you order. We ordered chicken shank, lamb shank and veggies with grilled egg plant with morrocan rice. The rice was beautifully cooked had wonderful flavor and was very light. Their cookie and mint tea was a best combination to have at the end of the meal. Must try out place.
